Athletics
The purpose of athletics at St. Monica Academy, is to foster and promote the physical, moral, mental, social and spiritual growth and well-being of each student-athlete. Our teams consistently rank among the top teams in our division. We offer a variety of sports with teams on various levels.
Middle School:
St. Monica Academy currently offers four sports for students in 6th through 8th grade. Fall sports include boys’ flag football and girls’ volleyball. Winter sports include boys’ and girls’ basketball. St. Monica is a member of Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and competes against local parochial schools. Schedules will be posted as they become available.
High School:
St. Monica Academy currently offers eleven high school sports teams. Fall sports include Boys & Girls Cross Country, Girls Varsity & JV Volleyball, and Boys Volleyball. Spring sports include Boys Varsity & JV Basketball, Girls Basketball, Girls Lacrosse, and Boys & Girls Swimming. St. Monica Academy is a member of the CIF Southern Section, and competes in the Heritage and Prep Leagues. 2020- 21 will be our 12th year as a CIF member school. Over the years we have had considerable success, capturing 29 league championships, reaching the playoffs 48 times, and winning the 2015 CIF-SS Div. 5A girls volleyball title.
