Schola
The Schola is SMA’s largest club and provides choral sacred music at every school Mass.
Schola members meet at lunch on Thursdays where they review a carefully selected repertoire of 4-part hymns and chants that have resonated with SMA students and parents throughout the years. Talented schola members are invited to be trained as cantors and
one upcoming senior is selected every year to to lead the club.
In the past, St Monica’s Schola has been asked to sing for events in the greater community, such as Mass for the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral, Benediction at Christian Service 4 Life, and Christmas Caroling for Archbishop Gomez.
