SMA Student Plays at the White House

SMA 10th grade student, Paula (first chair), led her Los Angeles orchestra group to play for 2 nights for visitors of the White House. The theme of this year’s Christmas celebration, “America the Beautiful,” is a tribute to the majesty of our great Nation. While in the Washington D.C. area Paula and her sister, SMA senior Georgina, traveled to some of our nation’s most beautiful landmarks such as Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, James Monroe’s Highland, James Madison’s Montpelier and many other historically significant D.C. monuments. Both students have acquired a strong foundation in American history at SMA, and an appreciation for our countries traditions and values.

Congratulations Paula! What an honor!
