Congratulations We are so proud of you all.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was founded in 1890, during a time that was marked by a revival in patriotism and intense interest in the beginnings of the United States of America. Fueled by the desire to perpetuate the memory of ancestors who fought to make this country free and independent, a group of pioneering women formed their own organization and the DAR has carried the torch of patriotism ever since.

The American History Essay Contest was established to encourage young people to think creatively about our nation’s great history and learn about history in a new light. Essays are judged for historical accuracy, adherence to the topic, organization of materials, interest, originality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and neatness.

Each student participant receives a certificate of participation from the chapter and the chapter winners receive bronze medals and certificates. State winners receive certificates and silver medals. National winners receive special certificates, medals, and a monetary award.

Good luck Anselm, we will be praying for you!
