Grade School
Up until the 2008-2009 school year, all grade school classes were combined classes–grades 1 and 2 were together, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and 7 and 8.
Enrollment growth resulted in the splitting of all grade levels into individual classes for the first time in 2011-2012.
For the 2011-2012 school year the classes will be as follows:
- Grade 1 taught by Miss Zepeda
- Grade 2 taught by Mrs. Goodwin
- Grade 3 taught by Miss Donofrio
- Grade 4 taught by Miss Bliss
- Grade 5 taught by Miss Miranda
- Grade 6 taught by Miss Anderson
- Grade 7 taught by Miss Lemmon
- Grade 8 taught by Mrs. Cornejo
Please check back to these pages occasionally. By winter 2011 we expect to have our curriculum posted on these pages. This posting will serve several purposes:
- It will aid prospective parents in their important choice of an education for their children;
- It will help current parents anticipate and work with their children’s classroom teachers; and
- It will help other schools and parents implement a classical and Catholic curriculum.
For a sampling of the kind of reading St. Monica Academy encourages in its first through eighth grade students, read the summer reading list for first through eighth grade students.
