DSC_5225 DSC_7472 DSC_5236 DSC_5217St. Monica Academy presented its annual Christmas Concert on Thursday Dec. 18, 2014. The first and second graders performed traditional carols and a delightful Christmas play, starring Luke Decker as the baby Jesus. The third through sixth graders sang both traditional and contemporary carols, featuring various exceptional soloists. Grades 7 and 8 delivered memorable renditions of three pieces, including A New Year’s Carol sung by soloist Zoe Grimm. Finally, the high school choir performed five different parts of Vivaldi’s Gloria, led by soloists Sophia Decker and Rose Lemmon. Special thanks to Mr. Stephen Grimm, Miss Genevieve Grimm, and Miss Jane Forsyth for directing the music, and to Mrs. Eileen Collins for coordinating hospitality. On Sunday Dec. 21, members of the St. Monica Academy Choir joined members of the St. Augustine Academy Choir for an encore performance of Vivaldi’s entire Gloria.
