Christian Service 4LIFE 2014

img_8237DSCF2121dsc_4400St. Monica Academy’s 7th-12th graders participated in Christian Service 4LIFE on Oct. 14 at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA. Thousands of students from Catholic schools in the L.A. archdiocese also attended the annual event, organized by LIFEsocal. Guest speakers included Archbishop Jose Gomez, Notre Dame History professor Fr. Wilson Miscamble, Issues4Life founder Walter Hoye, model Brittney Sharaun, Miss Delaware 2011 Maria Cahill, and actor David Henrie. Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculee Ilibagiza gave a most profound and moving testimony of forgiveness and hope. To close the event, Archbishop Gomez presided over a Eucharistic procession and benediction, in which St. Monica Academy students served as acolytes and cantors.
